So I wrote the whole trip report out yesterday but of course I only had iphone photos. Today I have our photopass and Chase’s pics uploaded! So here’s a few.
Kevin hadn’t met Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny, and we were able to pretty much walk right up and get a photo with them the first day.
Honestly I probably would’ve skipped even uploading this photo except the guy behind us is so perfectly positioned with his “I <3 my Family” shirt that it cracks me so I had to keep it.
He’s like that in every single shot we did with this photographer too! At least he kinds blends in with the Mickey flower face in the longer range shots.
On to Universal, we ran into Bart Simpson first thing:
Chase’s much-better photo of Kevin with the Knight Bus crew:
Back to Disney…
Photopass pic of meeting BB8:
“Oh BB8 you’re such a card!”
Love this Tower of Terror group shot:
Chase took some nice pics at Epcot of my Disneybound Leia.
And I just realized I somehow I missed uploading the photos of the back of the shrug. Oops! I’ll get them tonight.
“I’m Luke Skywalker, I’m here to rescue you.”
Kev getting a Baymax hug:
They had an Easter photo-op at the Magic Kingdom:
Although it’s hard to tell that sign says Happy Easter. And then I forgot to post it on Easter, too.
A handful of Celebration pics from Chase’s camera… there’s a ton more over in my smugmug folder. He actually took a lot of pics!
And now Bespin stuff…
We started to take photos in the con center before we left but after a couple we were like, why not just go back to the hotel and do it there since it’s so pretty? So we did.
Yay! I also have Bespin Leia added to my portfolio now!
Thoughts…
After looking at all the pics my tunic DEFINITELY needs to be shortened. It needs to come up like 3-4 inches. I think what I’m going to do, instead of taking the trim off, flipping it and shortening it from the inside, is I’m going to take the zipper off, take a seam at the waistline (maybe also put elastic in to keep it in place?) that will shorten the bottom. Then put the zipper back on. That will also fix the problem of my side slits not being high enough and I won’t have to remove and reattach all the trim.
I think I may also need to take my pants up a little, both width-wise below the knee, and also at the waist. The waist was comfortable while standing around in my sewing room but after walking for a while, it would start to move down and make the pants look even baggier at the ankle than they were supposed to. That should be an easy fix at least.
The cape… that one wonky side where the fabric got stretched doesn’t hang quite right and I think I maybe tweak it a little to look more even by moving the cape up a bit underneath the yoke. I’m going to play with it and see.
But none of that is next, next I have to get Amidala back in wearable condition for an event next weekend! Yikes!
